Savings Account (Thrift)
Savings is at the core of co-operative operations. Members are encouraged to put aside a portion of their earnings for a rainy day. Members are assisted to chart income against expenses to determine the portion of their earnings they can put away for rainy days.
These savings are put away in personalized interest earnings savings account. Interest is paid on a monthly basis. Minimum opening account balance is N5,000 only.
CashTrade Multipurpose Cooperative also offer opportunities for its member to save towards set targets by putting away funds for longer and specified tenors thus allowing them to save towards acquisition of assets or meet business/personal objectives. These target savings account higher interest rates, access to funds in target savings account would attract penalties to discourage needless spending.
LOANS FOR YOUR GOALS
Whether you are looking to renovate your home, pay children school fees or you need a quick fix in an
emergency, there’s a CashTrade loan for you.
Personal Loan
Members are provided short terms loans against their savings to meets urgent needs. Loan amount is set at twice their cumulative savings and share value.
However we understand exceeding twice their savings or equity and have designed a model to allow members borrow beyond their limits once we are convinced of their repayment ability. A guarantor might also be required in situations like this.
Payday Loans/Salary Advance
Members who are in paid employment and require funds before payday can access these facility. Facility is tenured for a maximum 3-6 months and can be either repaid in one bullet repayment or in installments. Non-members can access these loans but must be guaranteed by a member of the cooperative society.
